1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using /plu/ral, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. You must be at least 13 years old to use our services.
2. Service Description
/plu/ral is a comprehensive platform for managing members and plurality, including:
- Discord bot functionality and commands
- Web platform for member management and configuration
- Mobile application for member management and configuration
- Documentation and support resources
- Premium subscription services
3. Open Source License
The /plu/ral bot source code is available under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL 3). Important distinctions:
- These Terms of Service govern your use of our hosted service, not the source code
- Your rights to use, modify, and distribute the source code are governed by the AGPL 3 license
- The source code and license can be found on GitHub
- Running your own instance of the bot does not grant access to our hosted services or data
4. User Responsibilities
When using /plu/ral, you agree to:
- Comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
- Use the service only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to disrupt, damage, or overload our infrastructure
- Not use the service to harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Respect the intended functionality of the bot
5. Prohibited Uses
You may not use /plu/ral for:
- Any illegal activities or purposes
- Spamming, flooding, or any form of abuse
- Distributing malicious content or malware
- Violating Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
- Any activities that could harm our servers or other users
6. Premium Services
We may offer premium subscription services that provide additional features and functionality. Premium services:
- Are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually as specified)
- Must be paid in advance for the selected billing period
- Automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle
- May be cancelled at any time through your account dashboard
- Are non-refundable except as required by applicable law
- Will continue until the end of your current billing period when cancelled
Grandfathered Pricing: Your subscription price is locked in at the time you first subscribe. If we increase prices for new subscribers, your pricing will remain unchanged for as long as you maintain an active subscription.
7. Web Platform and Mobile Application
Our web platform and mobile application provide comprehensive tools to manage your members, proxies, and configurations. When using these services:
- Authentication is handled through Discord OAuth - you are responsible for the security of your Discord account
- You must not share your account access with unauthorized parties
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- We may limit access to certain features based on your subscription level
8. Third Party Applications
Third Party Applications are custom programs created by third-party developers that can access your /plu/ral data with your authorization. When using Applications:
- You are responsible for reviewing and following each Application's terms of service and privacy policy
- We are not responsible for how Applications handle your data or their functionality
- You can revoke an Application's access to your data at any time through your account settings
- Applications are created by independent developers, not by /plu/ral
- Report any Applications that violate our terms or misuse data through appropriate channels
Application developers must comply with our Developer Terms of Service
9. User Data and Content
You may create and manage proxies, members, and other content through our services. You acknowledge that:
- You retain ownership of content you create (proxy configurations, member data, etc.)
- You grant us permission to store and process this data to provide our services
- You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with all applicable laws and policies
- We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable policies
- You should maintain backups of important data as we cannot guarantee against data loss
Avatar Images and Media: When uploading avatar images or other media content:
- You must own the rights to or have permission to use all images you upload
- You may not upload copyrighted images without proper authorization
- You may not upload images that violate our terms or Discord's Community Guidelines
- We reserve the right to remove images that violate these requirements
Data Deletion: You have the right to completely delete all your data at any time by:
- Using the delete button in your account settings on the web platform or mobile application
- Using the
/delete_all_data
command in Discord - This action is permanent and cannot be undone
- All your data will be permanently removed within 24 hours of deletion
Third-Party Service Integration: If you choose to sync or integrate with other services:
- You acknowledge that those services have their own privacy policies and terms
- We are not responsible for how third-party services handle your data
- You should review the privacy policies of any services you choose to integrate
- You can disable integrations at any time through your account settings
Developer Access: In order to provide support and resolve technical issues:
- Our developers may need to access your data to debug problems and provide support
- Such access is limited to what is necessary to resolve the specific issue
- Developer access is logged and monitored for security purposes
- We maintain strict internal policies regarding data access and confidentiality
10. Data and Privacy
Our handling of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using /plu/ral, you acknowledge that certain Discord data may be processed as necessary for service functionality.
11. Service Availability
We strive to maintain service availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, /plu/ral and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service (which is zero, as the service is free).
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to /plu/ral at any time, for any reason, including violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time by removing the bot from your Discord servers, uninstalling the mobile app, and cancelling any active subscriptions. Upon termination:
- Your access to premium features will cease at the end of your current billing period
- Your data may be retained for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations
- You remain responsible for any outstanding charges
- Grandfathered pricing will be lost if you resubscribe after a gap in service
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this website and will be announced in our Discord support server. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
